Digital & artificial intelligence

Understand, use and govern digital tools

Courses that start from real professional use, not from technology. From building AI literacy across teams to mastering everyday office tools and the rules that keep their use safe.

Context

The tool is not the subject — the use is

Most organisations now have more digital tools than they actually exploit. The gap is not in equipment but in use: what teams know how to do, what they dare to do, and what they are allowed to do.

The arrival of generative artificial intelligence has made that gap more visible still. Some staff already use these tools, often without a framework and sometimes with data that should not be there. Others do not use them at all and watch their work change without taking part in it.

Our courses address both problems at once: building genuine skill in use, and setting the compliance framework — data protection, intellectual property, verification of outputs and traceability of decisions.

Learning objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the relevant uses of generative AI in their own line of work
  • Write precise instructions and critically evaluate the outputs they obtain
  • Distinguish tasks where AI brings real gain from those where it introduces risk
  • Apply the rules on personal data protection and confidentiality
  • Use the advanced functions of everyday office and collaboration tools
  • Structure, verify and present data to support a decision
  • Recognise the main cybersecurity threats and apply the right protective reflexes
  • Define and enforce an acceptable-use policy for digital tools and AI

Who it is for

  • Staff across all departments, for the awareness and literacy modules
  • Support functions: HR, administration, finance, communications, legal
  • Managers and executives responsible for governing tool use in their area
  • Officers and senior staff in public institutions and local authorities
  • Digital leads, project managers and data protection correspondents

Prerequisites

No technical prerequisites for the awareness and literacy modules. Routine practical use of a computerised working environment is required for the advanced office and data modules.

Programme

The modules that make up this field

The modules below combine into short courses of one to three days, or into longer pathways. The final programme is agreed with you at the scoping stage.

01

Generative AI literacy

What these tools actually do, what they do not do, and where their errors come from. Demystification, shared vocabulary and first supervised experiments.

02

AI for professional effectiveness

Concrete uses by job family: drafting, summarising, meeting preparation, document analysis, translation and preparation of materials.

03

Writing and evaluating prompts

Building a precise instruction, iterating, providing context and checking the output. A fully hands-on workshop on tasks brought by the participants.

04

Responsible and compliant use of AI

Personal data and GDPR, business confidentiality, intellectual property in outputs, obligations arising from the European AI regulation, traceability and accountability.

05

Governing AI in your organisation

Building an acceptable-use policy, defining permitted and prohibited uses, organising support for teams and monitoring actual use. For executives and managers.

06

Advanced office software

Word processing for long structured documents, spreadsheets for analysis and presentation of data, presentation tools, document management and collaboration.

07

Data literacy

Reading a dataset, spotting the traps of interpretation, building a readable dashboard and presenting a figure without distorting it.

08

Cybersecurity: the essential reflexes

Phishing, passwords and authentication, mobile and remote working, incident reporting. Practical awareness training for all staff.

09

Personal data protection

GDPR principles applied day to day: lawful bases, minimisation, retention periods, individual rights and what to do in the event of a data breach.

10

Communication and collaboration tools

Choosing the right channel, structuring shared information, organising shared workspaces and reducing the information load on teams.

Key strengths

Real uses, not demonstrations

Workshops address the participants' actual tasks, submitted in advance. Everyone leaves with uses tested on their own work.

Skill and compliance together

Every practical module includes its regulatory component. Training without setting the framework would simply organise the risk.

Three levels of intervention

Raise awareness across all staff, build depth among advanced users, and equip managers to govern how the tools are used.

Delivery

How the course runs

Each day alternates short sequences of structured input with periods of practice. The cases worked on are drawn from the real environment of the participants. Materials are issued in digital form and remain available after the course.

  • Structured methodological input, illustrated with examples from the field
  • Case studies and practical exercises built around your context
  • Role play, drills and individual feedback
  • Sub-group work and comparison of practice
  • A written personal action plan at the end of the pathway
Indicative durationFrom half a day (3.5 hours) for an awareness session to 5 days (35 hours) for a full pathway
Delivery modesFace to face · virtual classroom · blended
FormatsOpen enrolment · in-company · bespoke
LanguagesFrench · English
Group sizeSmall group; maximum headcount stated on the quotation
Access lead timeInitial response within 72 working hours; around 4 weeks between approval of the quotation and the start of an in-company course

Assessment and recognition

Placement
A placement test is sent before the start of the course.
Assessment of learning
Formative assessment during the session (quizzes, practical cases, role play) and summative assessment at the end of the pathway.
Satisfaction
Immediate review at the end of the session, then a follow-up review some months later.
Recognition
A certificate of completion and an end-of-training attestation stating the objectives and the results of the assessment of learning.
Accessibility
The course can be adapted for participants with disabilities. Contact our disability adviser in advance; the access lead time is then reviewed with you.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need AI tools in-house to follow the course?

No. Workshops can run on publicly available tools using fictitious or anonymised data. If your organisation has already deployed an internal solution, we adapt the exercises to that environment.

Our teams are at very different levels. How do you handle that?

Through the placement test beforehand, which allows us either to form homogeneous groups or to plan differentiated tracks within a single session. In this field especially, mixing levels that are too far apart degrades the course for everyone.

Do you cover regulatory compliance?

Yes, systematically, and from a practical angle: what a member of staff may or may not enter into a tool, how to record an assisted output, and what checks can reasonably be required. We do not provide legal advice and recommend that your policy be validated by your own counsel.
